In Fall 2006, Gomez became the first official CLIF BAR GreenNotes artists, kicking off their North American tour rocking cleaner and greener with biodiesel in their tour bus and a bunch of other eco-friendly changes.

As part of the program, we gave Gomez an environmental assessment and overhaul of their touring operations. They helped us launch the GreenNotes program by including the following measures throughout their coast-to-coast Fall tour:

• Using biodiesel to fuel their tour bus
• Using recycled paper and soy-based inks for printed materials
• Providing organic cotton merchandise options for their fans
• Requesting organic food backstage at all shows
• Recycling and re-using materials when possible
• Minimizing the idling of their bus when not in use
• Offsetting the tour's CO2 emissions through the purchase of clean, renewable wind energy credits
• Staying at hotels identified as more sustainable
